We are learning from the Hebrew book "El Kets Hatikkun" ["Reaching the End of Rectification"], published in 1984 by Rav Yaacov Reebok [pages 216-240].

Time in this world is 6000 years according to the Talmud [Avodah Zara, 9a]. This time span is divided into four "worlds". Each world is 1500 years. 

On The Level of Time:

The World of Emanation (Atzilut) was revealed on earth from Creation, year 0 to 1500, are the years in which people lived a thousand years and they were on a high spiritual level. According to the Gregorian calendar these years are 3760 BCE - 2260 BCE.

The World of Creation (Beriah) was revealed on earth from the year 1500 to the year 3000. This is the time of Abraham, Moshe, and the beginning of the Jewish nation. We received the Torah and entered the Land. The beginning of Jewish history started in these years of Creation. According to the Gregorian calendar these years are 2260 BCE - 760 BCE.

The World of Formation (Yitzirah) was revealed on earth from the year 3000 to the year 4500. During this time was the First Temple, the Exile in Babylonia and Persia, the Rebuilding of the Second Temple, its Destruction and the redaction of the Mishnah and Talmud. According to the Gregorian calendar, these years are 760 BCE - 740 ADE.

The World of Action (Asiah) was revealed on earth from the year 4500 to the year 6000 which is our world today. Everything is action, technology, new inventions, ruling over nature. That’s our world. According to the Gregorian calendar these years are 740 ADE - 2240 AD E.

 

On The Level of Soul::

The World of Emanation is called the head. 
The World of Creation is the body above the diaphragm.
The World of Formation is the body below the diaphragm. 
The World of Action are the legs and the feet. Our generation is certainly the generation of the feet, the lowest level.

We discussed the Four Worlds in Time and now we will deal with the Four Worlds on the level of Space.

On The Level of Space we have the four different revelations:

The World of Emanation, is the Holy of Holies, (Kodesh Kodashim) and in Hebrew is called the world of Tolitzah..

The World of Creation is the whole Temple Mount.
The World of Formation is the Land of Israel.
The World of Action is the whole world outside the Land of Israel. So we see in the Land of Israel we have the above three levels, while in the whole world we only have one level, the World of Action.

These four levels can also be recognized in the dimension of Soul. 
The World of Emanation is beyond and above thought on the level of soul.
The World of Creation is thought.
The World of Formation is talking, speech.
The World of Action is a manifestation of things in reality, our world.

Now let us parallel between these concepts:

If the whole world is a revelation of the World of Action then the Land of Israel is speech. We see that the amount of people with cell phones in Israel is more than any other country in the world. Everybody is speaking here every minute, every second. The Land of Israel is the Land of Prophecy.

If the Temple is parallel to Thought, then the acceptance of the sacrifices given by the Cohanim/Priests are dependent upon what they think. Each sacrifice has to have the appropriate thought in order for the sacrifice to be accepted.  

Everything in the Temple is also connected to what we, the bringer of the sacrifice, think at the moment that the sacrifice is offered.
